Daily Question – 79

The person in the second visual created a work that was inspired by the most famous work by the person depicted in the first visual. However, their titles seem almost opposite. Identify both people and name the works.

John Bunyan (Visual 1) wrote ‘The Pilgrim’s Progress’, and inspired by it, C.S. Lewis (Visual 2) wrote ‘The Pilgrim’s Regress’.

  1. Dear Uncle:

The first illustration shows John Bunyan’s “Pilgrim’s Progress.” The second photo is of C. S. Lewis, who wrote a book called “Pilgrim’s Regress.”

    I’m back, baby!

(Apologies for calling you “baby,” Uncle.)

    Kind regards,
    Thomas Masun

  2. Thomas Masun had checked out John Bunyan’s Pilgrim’s Progress from the library of Mattencherry High.
When he went to return it, the librarian, Sister Mary informed him that he had to pay a late fee fine of Rs. 10. Thomas was surprised since he is meticulous in returning things in time. So he asked Sister Mary to check the records again when Thomas realised that his classmate Chacko had hatched an evil plan by checking out CS Lewis’ book Piligrim’s Regress oping that Sister mary would make a mistake which did happen.
