QFI is celebrating its 30th Anniversary in 2017. The first phase was held earlier this year as Q5 2017 and we’re back again to announce the second phase – QFIesta 2017!

Prizes of up to Rs. 1,00,000/- up for grabs!

There will be three fun informal quizzes on April 29 followed by four formal quizzes from April 30 – May 1.

Saturday, April 29th

Venue – Madras Club

  1. ‘Rave’ Music Quiz by Vijay Sarathy
  2. 2.0 Quiz by Mario Fernando, Sudharshan Karthik, and the young quizzer Ravi Mundoli
  3. QFI Retro Quiz by Dr. Navin Jayakumar, Ramanan Vembu and other old timers of QFI. As an aside, we’re not sure if they’ll turn up like Derek O’Brien did here – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f6K2B2StXrk

Sunday, April 30th

Venue – TAG Auditorium in College of Engineering, Guindy [Anna University]

  1. 9.30 AM – 1.30 PM : General Quiz – by Suresh Ramasubramanian, Keshav Athreya and Ajay Parasuraman
  2. 2.30 PM – 7.00 PM : The QFI Invitation Challenge Quiz – A General Quiz by Dr. Navin Jayakumar, Ravi Mundoli, Gopal Kidao and Anil Kumar K, The national (and international) preliminaries of this quiz was held in February and the teams which qualify from the Chennai preliminaries to be held on this day would be competing against the top teams which have qualified from Bangalore, Calcutta, Goa and Bombay. Don’t miss what promises to be a great showdown!

Monday, May 1st

Venue – TAG Auditorium in College of Engineering, Guindy [Anna University]

  1. 9.30 AM – 1.30 PM : Sports Quiz by Rohit Suresh, Ramesh Natarajan, Niranjan Murali and Varun Parthasarathy
  2. 2.30 PM – 7.00 PM : QFI Open Quiz -A General quiz by Samanth Subramanian, Swaminathan Ganesh and Jayakanthan Ranganathan

All quizzes are for teams of three members. Even if you don’t have a team, you can always find one at the venue.

So, please do turn up in droves!

    1. Anyone can participate since all four quizzes are Open Quizzes. There are no age restrictions. We usually have special prizes for School students [a team made up only of school students i.e.]
