Daily Question – 120

“There’s also a negative side.” Connect this video to the guy here.

“What Just Happened?” and David Mamet – in the movie, Bruce Willis’ character is based on Alec Baldwin’s antics during the shooting of “The Edge” written by Mamet. Baldwin supposedly turned up a with a paunch and a beard and behaved not unlike Willis’ character. Mamet also wrote the greatest role that Baldwin has essayed on the film screen – in Glengarry Glen Ross. “Second prize is a set of steak knives. Third prize is you’re fired.”

All who mentioned “The Edge” can pat themselves.

We’re considering retiring the current QFI Chennai Super King format. If you have any ideas for a replacement, do drop us a comment.

  1. Um, well, What Just Happened and David Mamet.

There’s a bit in Linson’s book bitching about his experience in working on the film The Edge, which Mamet wrote. Also, Levinson’s earlier Wag the Dog was written by Mamet.

Dunno what you’re going for really. 🙂

  2. The book/movie What Just Happened was inspired by the goingons during the making of the movie The Edge. The Edge was written by David Mamet in the second pic.

  3. or i’m guessing the writer (if there is one) in the movie is based on Mamet. Whatever. take your pick. 🙂

by the way, have you changed the time when you post a new question? what is it now, 12 am?

  4. The movie “what Just Happened?” is based on the stories of Art Linson- producer of movies such as Fight Club, Heat n etc.

  5. “Wag The Dog”.

The video is a trailer for the Barry Levinson film “What Just Happened”. Levinson also directed “Wag The Dog”. The image shows David Mamet, who co-wrote the screenplay for WTG.

  6. Instead of retiring the QFI Madras Kings format, I suggest you tone down the obscurity level of the questions you post on this site.
