Daily Question – 115

Identify and connect these nobodies.

Quoting Meera, (who also had the most comprehensive answer)

“Billy Wilder, Anthony Lane and Marlee Matlin

Billy Wilder’s biography is called Nobody’s Perfect, by Charlotte Chandler

Anthony Lane has written a book called Nobody’s Perfect as has Marlee Matlin (with Doug Cooney)

Of course Nobody’s perfect is the memorable ending to Billy Wilder’s ‘Some like it hot’ (and the 2001 Landmark quiz) and is the inspiration for Lane’s book title.”

Answered by Bobo, Thomas Masun, Meera and Nayantara.

  1. Dear Uncle:

On left is Billy Wilder Uncle, who directed “Some Like It Hot,” the last line of which is the classic “Nobody’s Perfect.”

That line gave its title to the collection of essays by Anthony Lane, who is the Uncle in the middle, and is possibly the funniest man I have seen in person.

I have no idea what Felicity Huffman has to do with this thread of thought. But hey, nobody’s perfect.

    Kind regards,
