Daily Question – 109

Very famous faces. How would you connect these two guys?

Answer: The connect is Ça Ira. It is the name of an opera created by Roger Waters and is named after a song from the French Revolution. The title of that song was inspired by Benjamin Franklin, in France as a representative of the Continental Congress, and who was very popular among the French people. When asked about the American Revolutionary War, he would always reply, in somewhat broken French, “Ça ira, ça ira” (“It’ll be fine”).

  1. Roger Waters and Benjamin Franklin are fairly obvious,But I couldn’t make a connect.
So I’m wildly guessing it to be glass harmonica which Ben Franklin invented and used as sort of intro in Shine On You Crazy Diamond by Pink Floyd.

  2. Another stupid guess is Pinkerton.
Since floyd real name in the film Wall is Floyd Pinkerton and Benjamin Franklin Pinkerton in Giacomo Puccini’s opera ‘Madam Butterfly’.
