  1. The “Foot in Mouth” award (second pic). Awarded by Plain English Campaign (first pic, their seal) every year, the last winner was Steve McClaren(third pic), the then England manager for his line “He is inexperienced, but he’s experienced in terms of what he’s been through” on Wayne Rooney.

  2. Plain English Campaign (A) awards the Foot in the Mouth award (B) for a nonsensical line uttered by a celebrity in public. 2007’s award went to Steve McLaren’s (C) for his comment– “He (Wayne Rooney) is inexperienced, but he’s experienced in terms of what he’s been through.”–I confess I had to Wiki the comment McLaren made.

  3. The second visual is the ¨Foot in Mouth¨ award which McLaren won for his “He is inexperienced, but he’s experienced in terms of what he’s been through” comment about Rooney. The first visual was a bit misguiding, but wiki pointed us to the Plain English Campaign, who appear to be behind the FiM award, and have visual one as their logo (because apparently they fight for crystal clear communications!!!)

  17. A. Logo of Plain English Campaign
    B. Foot in Mouth Award
    C Steve McClaren

  18. The award, a depiction of dontopedology, is the footinthemouth award and steve mclaren was the latest winner(joesph chacko ran a close 2nd). This award is given by an organization called PEC which also awards the crystal mark seen in topmost pic to documents which are in plain english and circumvents the use of ambiguous synonyms that tend to obfuscate the reader which results in the whole document to seem like gobbledygook like this reply while Thomas Masun would have a given an answer worth a crystal mark.

  19. Steve Mclaren (3) winning the Plain English Campaign’s (image 1 is the logo) ‘Foot in mouth’ award (image 2) for his (in)famous statement on Rooney’s (in)experience

  22. ‘He (Wayne Rooney) is inexperienced, but he’s experienced in terms of what he’s been through.’

that won Steve McClaren (3) the Foot in Mouth Award (2) from the Plain English Campaign (fighting for crystal clear communication since 1979…), logo shown in (1).

  23. Visual 3 is Steve McClaren, the former England football coach who has been awarded the Plain English Campaign’s annual foot in mouth award. He had reportedly quoted on Wayne Rooney’s experience/inexperience during an interview on Radio and his quote got him the award.
